When should I apply?
You should refer to the key dates section of the website for the application deadlines for each of our offices as they may on occasion differ.

Can I apply to different countries?
Yes, Rothschild offers graduate and internship positions in the majority of its global locations. Please note that you can only apply to two locations per vacancy and a maximum of two vacancies.

Can I apply directly to a specific area (e.g. Restructuring)?
For the majority of our opportunities you will need to apply to Investment Banking as we hire candidates into the Investment Banking Division and decide which team they will join closer to their start date. If you have a preference you should let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you but cannot guarantee this.

Can I apply now and defer to 2011?
At Rothschild we never say never but given the timing of the recruitment it is very difficult for us to know a year in advance how many graduates we will need so we don’t have a deferral policy.

What academic background should I have?
Most Rothschild offices recruit graduates from any degree background and it will not matter whether you have studied theology or economics, as long as it’s a good degree from a strong academic institution. Diversity of background is fundamental to our business.

Can I apply for an Internship if I have already graduated?
Yes, you can apply to our Long Term Internship programme.

Do you take on graduates that require work permits?
Yes, we welcome applications for those that need a work permit.

Does Rothschild offer positions for candidates with advanced degrees?
Rothschild does not offer a specific programme for candidates with MBAs or PhDs, however we would welcome your application to our graduate programme or as an experienced candidate.

When will I find out if I have got an interview?
If your application is successful we will contact you after the application deadline to organise a first round interview. To find out the status of your application you should log onto the application portal. 

Will there be the possibility of working abroad?
Yes, we have a secondment programme where you can apply to work in any of our overseas offices. This is subject to business requirements time, and language skills for some specific countries.
