Rothschild in the Community
The Rothschild in the Community Programme provides our people with the opportunity to support schools and community-based organisations close to our offices in ways which can make a real difference to the lives of local people. All employees, including our graduates on joining, are encouraged to get involved in voluntary initiatives such as literacy support, mentoring and enterprise programmes at schools; or by helping out in practical ways at local community-based organisations. We firmly believe that volunteering benefits the volunteer as much as the community.
More than 30% of London staff participate in Rothschild in the Community each year, and the programme has won two awards: a Business in the Community Big Tick in 2010, and a Lord Mayor's Dragon Award in 2008.
